Logistics
Objective

To create the Outside Site venue grounds so it is visually appealing, effective and safe for patrons, volunteers and performers.

Shifts

The dates for set-up are June 10th to June 21st, and the shift times are 9 am to 5 pm. The dates for tear-down are July 2nd-5th, and shift times will be from 9am to 5pm. We ask a minimum of 4 shifts.

The bonus is that all your shifts can be completed before the festival starts. leaving you free to watch all the shows.

Medical Volunteer
Objective

Using professional education and skills, volunteers on this crew will assist in the administration of first aid to our patrons by assessing and treating patients within a specific scope of practice. Previous first aid and CPR qualifications are mandatory.

Shifts

As a volunteer medical professional you will be asked to act as an onsite first-aid respondent during shift hours at Confederation Park (CP) and Marion Dewar Plaza (MDP)

Shifts are CP 6:30pm-1:00 am (approx.) and MDP 5 pm. - 11:00 pm. (approx.)

EXCEPT JULY 1, shifts are 11:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. OR 3:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

(All volunteers are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to shift start time.)

Site
Objective

To ensure all levels of service are maximized to accommodate guests to the best of our abilities and ensure the park grounds are kept clean and safe for festival patrons.

Shifts

Shift times are 8:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. (approx.) You are require to sign up for a minimum of FOUR shifts.

(All volunteers are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to shift start time.)

Site Personnel for Gates at various locations throughout Confederation Park and Marion Dewar Plaza. Scanner and Gate positions.

Stage
Objective

To assist in the management of the technical and logistical aspects of the Main and OLG Stages to guarantee the best possible jazz concerts.

Shifts

PRE/POST FESTIVAL: We are currently looking for volunteers who are available for set-up and tear-down. The dates for set-up are June 10th to June 21st, and the shift times are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.Tear-down dates for stage begin on July 1st and could carry on into July 3rd or 4th.  If we must work overnight, we will go at least until 2:00AM. All sound gear from both stages as well as lighting and truss work have to be struck and ready to load before lunch July 2nd. Work on the 3rd or 4th will be a 9 to 5 affair.  This is where the main tent is taken down and packed into the storage trailer.

DURING FESTIVAL: We are also recruiting for the festival.  Shifts vary in length between 6 and 8 hours. Volunteers work either on Main Stage (1 or 2 crews, depending on the size of act, on 2 shifts) or on the OLG Stage in Confederation Park, shifts as per Main stage, 6 to 8 hours.  The late show at OLG may go past midnight.
